Paul Gower is an experienced software engineer and consultant having over 20 years of experience working with multi-million dollar corporations, non-profits, and startup companies across the country. He started his journey in Arkansas at Harding University, graduating cum laude with a BS in Computer Science in 2001. He began his career at Alltel Information Services, where he attended the Alltel Client-Server University, gaining extensive training and experience that set the foundation for his technology career in Arkansas.
As the founder and CEO of Lunamark in 2014, he has helped companies with their software development needs through coaching, training, and programming. More than a consultant, he works alongside clients to provide a true partnership experience when solving business problems for them using technology, regardless of their technology stack.
As a dynamic national speaker, Paul travels the country speaking and networking among technology professionals with a focus on how to build a system to get work done, efficiencies in leading a team to create a product, and applying strategies to increase workflow and productivity within teams.
Paul enjoys working with the local community to teach, coach, and mentor software developers and entrepreneurs. He has volunteered much of his time over the years with various organizations. He has served as an officer for the Little Rock .NET User Group, one of the longest-running user groups in Little Rock. He served as a Technical Advisor and Mentor at The Venture Center, working with local startups for several years. He continues to serve as the Co-Executive Director of Little Rock Tech Fest, a yearly gathering of technology professionals attracting close to a thousand tech professionals, leaders, and speakers across North America.
Paul is passionate about helping small to medium businesses unlock their true potential by adding value to their customers through digital products. He believes businesses should prioritize focus for their teams by working on a select number of initiatives, allowing the team margin to create the best solution for the outcomes the business sets before them. By allowing teams to focus on shipping fewer, high-quality items of work, the business allows for faster user feedback and unlocks performance improvements for their teams.
Paul continues to deepen his knowledge and understanding of how to help teams work more efficiently to provide his clients with a collaborative approach to solving software problems as well as helping coach and train teams in their development practices.
Paul has been married to his wife, Schell Gower, since 2001. Soon after being married, they moved to midtown Little Rock and haven’t looked back since. Today they enjoy raising their two wonderful kids in the Leawood neighborhood.
