Immediately upon graduation from University of Arkansas at Monticello, Gina began work at Arkansas Systems. Her work ran the gamut from coding and installs to sales tech consulting to account management. At 23, she was leading on-site client installations in exotic locales such as Greece, Hungary, and El Salvador, as well as less exotic sites such as, well, Oklahoma. The true gift of working at Arkansas Systems, however, was mentorship from Arkansas tech giants such as John Chamberlain and Don Hatfield.
In late 1999, Gina moved to Acxiom, Corp, as a technical project manager. Some projects of note include directing the corporate-wide transition of software development methodology from Waterfall to Agile and overseeing the replacement of Acxiom’s entire product infrastructure with virtual machines. More recent projects have included adapting existing campaign/marketing solutions to cloud platforms and the implementation of CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment). In 2019, she was named Director of Product Release and Support. In her role as Director, she managed release deployment, automated testing, solution implementation consulting, Level 1, and Level 2 support for Acxiom’s data management platform.
As of mid-October 2021, Gina has taken the position of Distinguished Project/Operations Manager at Acoustic. This will enable her to continue working with cloud-based marketing platforms.
In recent years, Gina has had the privilege of serving as Board Treasurer for the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas. She currently serves on the Carroll County Community Foundation Board. Her most fulfilling achievement in life, though, was marrying John Gregson Jr (deceased 2019) and building a family. She has a daughter, Mia (14) and son, John III (12). Her family lives in the Eureka Springs, Arkansas, area. Actually, they “live” wherever her daughter is playing softball that weekend. They hear that the Eureka Springs area is lovely though and hope to get to see some of it someday.
