What is the Computer Science Students of Distinction

On  January 26, 2024 applications will open for 2024 Arkansas Computer Science Students of Distinction awards.  The deadline for applications is 11:59 pm, April 15, 2024. The competition is open to all Arkansas High School Juniors and Seniors. Students should follow the 3 step process outlined below to complete the application. 

 Award winners will be chosen based on:

• 1.       Computer Related Academic Achievement
• 2.       Competitive Achievement
• 3.       Personal Achievement
• 4.       Service Achievement

Students with the highest overall scores will be forwarded to a final AAoC selection committee which will make the final determination as to who will be recognized as Computer Science Students of Distinction.

Winners will receive a certificate and recognition on our Students of Distinction Alumni page.

Step 1: Obtain transcripts and place them into one pdf for uploading.

Step 2: Prepare portfolio (see template for details). A link to the portfolio (must be made shared) or the portfolio document will be uploaded during the application process.

Step 3: Complete the  AAoC Media Release Form.

Step 4: Complete the application.
